Wallpaper 0.53×10 — paper & non-woven
The 0.53 m × 10 m roll is the classic European format. One roll gives ~5.3 m² in theory (allow extra for pattern repeat). Suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, kids’ rooms, studies, hallways and dry kitchen zones.
Material differences
- Paper wallpaper — breathable, lightweight, eco-friendly, with a cozy matte look; great for bedrooms and kids’ rooms.
- Non-woven wallpaper — strong, dimensionally stable backing; easy to hang, available in smooth/embossed, washable and paintable options.
Important: adhesive & hanging method
Different types use different methods: some are paste-the-wall, others are paste-the-paper. Typically non-woven = wall, paper = paper, but there are exceptions. Always follow the symbols and the manufacturer’s instructions on the roll label and choose the adhesive for your exact type.
How to estimate rolls
- Wall area = room perimeter × height − openings.
- Divide by 5.3 m² (theoretical coverage per roll).
- Add 10–15% for pattern repeat if applicable. With 2.5–2.7 m ceilings, one roll usually yields 3 full drops at 53 cm width.
Preparation & installation
Substrate must be dry, even and primed. Apply adhesive exactly as indicated: some collections are paste-the-wall, others paste-the-paper with soak time. Work at a stable temperature, avoid drafts.
Care & use
Check the symbols: lightfastness, washability class, and pattern match. Washable/scrubbable options suit hallways and dry kitchen zones. Paintable non-woven withstands several repaint cycles.
